What is your favourite restaurant?

Going out for dinner is always a wonderful experience if you go to the right restaurant.

As someone who loves wonderful food and a great experience when dining, my favourite Brisbane restaurants in no particular order are:

• Ecco Bistro in the city, this bistro run by Philip Johnson is always fantastic, we have been going for more than ten years and are always delighted.
• Restaurant Rapide at Camp Hill, Sam and Annie do a great job, we feel like family when we go for dinner!
• Arriva on Merthyr Road New Farm, great Italian, the best pizza I have had outside Italy. I also love their pastas, make sure you book early or you will miss out.
• Montrachet. A wonderful French restaurant in Paddington with an amazing ambiance and great wine. If dinner is just for two, ask to sit at the bar.

In Melbourne, my favourite place to go is The Grill at Grossi Florentino. If I am in Melbourne, I will try and organise my schedule to allow time for a lunch here.

For an out of this world dining experience in Melbourne, you must go to Vue de monde, simply sublime. Expensive YES, one of the best restaurants in the world, YES. Save your dollars before you go and just go. Enough said.
